Our first Mentorship cohort took place between October 2025 and January 2026. We paired mentees with mentors according to theirs needs, interests and expertise areas. Our Director of Partnerships, Sónia Gomes, represented UXPA Portugal at Leadership Ateliers Lisbon. This is a invaluable annual conference organized by our parter Hatch Conference.

Design Career: Roadmap to Success

UXPA Portugal participated in a discussion panel focused on planning for a successful career and overcoming professional obstacles. Alongside Mao Barros and Fernando Padovan from Deeploy, our President, Joana Castro, engaged in a vivid discussion with the audience, composed by junior and senior Product Designers, Service Designers and Product Managers.

Designing for Success: Adapting Processes Across Different Work Environment

UXPA Portugal collaborated with DesignFAO by having our Director of Partnerships, Sónia Gomes, moderating the conversation, with insights from João Lima (Critical TechWorks) and Luís Monteiro (Pixelmatters), on learning how to adapt and succeed, no matter where or how you work.

We welcomed UXers at our stand and converted them into official members of our community.

The survey “The State of UX in Portugal” aimed to help us understand the current landscape of User Experience careers in Portugal and how UXPA Portugal can make the most impact creating opportunities for growth and collaboration for UX professionals. We collected insights from portuguese UXers and expat working in UX in our country.

We launched UXPA Portugal during 2024's World Usability Day.

At the WUD Conference, organized by Tangível, we officially presented UXPA Portugal as a local chapter of UXPA International, our mission, our planned activities and our first survey. We also met with the community at our stand and welcomed our first community members!
